Tried selling my old Honda quad on the classifieds for weeks. Every inquiry was either a time-waster or someone trying to knock me down to nothing. Not what she’s worth.
Looked into We Buy Cars Hexham - they do a sale or return service, commission brokerage where they find the buyer and handle it for you. I’m on a farm outside Hexham and didn’t fancy trailing around. John came out to me, looked her over properly, took it for a run across the yard. What surprised me was he ran an HPI check off the VIN - never knew you could do that on a bike that never saw a road. That told me he knew what he was doing.
Had a buyer inside 24 hours. John came out again with him to collect it 48 hours after that. Never had to leave the farm.
2001 Honda. My pride and joy for a long time. But I’m at the age where I have to be honest with myself about these things.
Commission was fair for what he turned around in two days. I’ve paid more for less & most importantly my wife was happy with the final price!
