Car recovery and breakdown recovery in Hexham

We run our own flatbed and winch as part of buying and collecting cars across the Tyne Valley, so we can also recover or move a car for you: breakdown recovery, non-runner recovery and vehicle transport across Hexham, the Tyne Valley and Northumberland. It reaches most of Hexham, Corbridge, Prudhoe, Haydon Bridge and the villages between, with no membership to join. Tell us where the car is and where it needs to go and we give you a clear price before we set off, from £120 plus VAT.

Recovery in action

Real cars, recovered on our own flatbed

A few we have winched up and moved across the Tyne Valley, from a clutch gone at high mileage to cars that would not start or roll.

On the truck

The kit that gets your car moving on the day

Most "un-recoverable" cars come back to life on the driveway. Our recovery vehicle carries the tools to sort the common problems on the spot, and a flatbed and winch for anything that will not budge.

24-volt booster pack

Brings most cars back to life, large or small, where a flat 12-volt battery is all that is stopping it.

Mobile tyre inflator

Commercial-grade inflator that brings properly flat tyres back up so the car can be loaded under its own weight.

Diagnostic kit

Releases electronic parking brakes on the spot, so a car sat with its handbrake locked can still be moved.

Auto-locksmith tools

Opens locked cars safely where the owner has lost the keys, without damaging the vehicle.

Flatbed & winch

For anything that will not start or roll, we winch onto the flatbed without dragging or rolling the car.

However it is stuck

We have seen it, and we recover it

Tell us the problem when you get in touch and we bring the right kit. A few of the ones we get asked about most:

Stuck in park, lever will not moveUsually a flat battery or a brake-light switch on automatics. The booster pack or diagnostic kit frees it, otherwise it goes on the flatbed.
Brakes seized after long storageElectronic brakes we release with the diagnostic kit. If they are properly seized we winch onto the flatbed without rolling the car.
Four flat tyres, will not rollThe mobile inflator brings them back up. If a tyre is perished beyond reflating, we winch it on instead.
Dead battery, no keys, or lost V5CAll solvable on the driveway: booster pack for the battery, locksmith tools for the keys, and we handle the V5C paperwork for you.
Paperwork

Lost the logbook? We handle it

Direct line to DVLA

If the V5C is lost we have a direct contact at DVLA and can handle the replacement paperwork on your behalf, not just point you at a form. We take the V5C where you have it and notify DVLA of the change ourselves.

Common questions

Recovery questions, answered straight

The things people ask us most when they are stuck, off the road or out of options.

Call the recovery mobile on 07707 440 222. We are local to Hexham and the Tyne Valley with our own flatbed and winch, so tell us where you are and where the car needs to go and we will let you know straight away how soon we can reach you, and the price, before we set off. Get yourself somewhere safe first if you are at the roadside.

Yes. Tell us where the car is and which garage you want it at, and we collect it on our own low loader and recover it to the garage of your choice, running or not. If it is something simple like a flat battery we might get it going on the driveway, otherwise it goes straight on the truck. We cover Hexham, Prudhoe, Corbridge, Allendale and the villages around, and you can pay the driver on the day.

Yes. We are a local Hexham recovery operator with our own flatbed and winch, based in the Tyne Valley, so for most of Hexham, Corbridge, Prudhoe, Haydon Bridge and the villages between we are one of the nearest trucks to you. Call the recovery line and we will tell you straight away how soon we can reach you.

We cover Hexham and the Tyne Valley as standard, along the A69, A68 and A695, and travel across the wider Northumberland and North East for the right job. Tell us where the car is and where it needs to go and we will give you an honest answer on whether we can reach you, and a price before we set off.

We are a local operator, not a national call centre queue, so there is no membership to join and no country-wide waiting list ahead of you. Call the recovery line direct and we will tell you straight away roughly how soon we can be there.

Local recovery starts at £120 plus VAT. That covers the call-out and moving your car on the flatbed within our Tyne Valley patch. We focus on local jobs within our radius, so tell us where the car is and where it needs to go and we will give you a clear price before we set off. No membership, no annual policy, just pay as you go.

Yes. You do not need cover or a membership with us. If it is a flat battery, a seized brake, a car stuck in park or even a blown engine, our booster pack and diagnostic kit often get it moving on the driveway. If it will not run, we winch it onto the flatbed and take it to your garage or home.

We winch it. The flatbed tilts down to the ground, we pull the car up on the steel winch cable with all four wheels held, then lower it flat for the journey. The car does not need to start, run or steer, and nothing is dragged. Flat tyres, seized brakes and dead batteries are all fine.

The A69 runs right through our patch, so a breakdown between Corbridge, Hexham and Haltwhistle is local to us. Get yourself somewhere safe first, then call our recovery line and we will tell you straight away whether we can reach you and roughly how soon.

Yes. If your car failed on a dangerous defect it cannot legally be driven, even to another garage, so it has to travel on a recovery vehicle with all four wheels off the ground. That is exactly what our flatbed does. We collect it from the test station and take it to the garage of your choice.

A car that cannot be legally driven has to be transported, not driven. We can load it onto the flatbed at the roadside and take it home or to a garage, so you are not risking a fine or points. You sort the MOT or the paperwork, and the car is already where it needs to be.

Yes. A non-running classic goes on the flatbed the same careful way, winched slowly with the wheels held so nothing is dragged or strained. Low, delicate or long-stored classics we take extra care loading. Tell us the make, model and where it is stored and we will bring the right kit on the day.

We are a local Hexham operator, so you are not sat in a national queue behind the whole country. Call our recovery line direct and we will tell you straight away whether we can get to you and when. There is nothing to join first.

Yes. Garage to garage, MOT station to garage, home to garage or the other way round. If it needs moving and it is not driveable, we load it on the flatbed and take it there.
