Where you will find us

We are based 5 minutes from Hexham town centre at 1 High Scotch Hall, Hexham, NE47 9DG. Drop in for a chat — bring the V5 or just the keys. We share the yard with our partner storage and recovery operation, so the unit is staffed most working days. Visits by appointment are smoothest if you have a specific car you want us to look at.

For collections, we cover Hexham, Corbridge, Prudhoe, Wylam, Stocksfield, Ponteland, Newcastle upon Tyne, Haltwhistle, Allendale, Bellingham and the wider Tyne Valley as standard. Free to your door, no admin fee, no fuel cost passed on. If you are further out we will still come — there may be a small mileage contribution but we tell you on the phone before you commit to anything.

What happens after you get in touch

Most enquiries follow the same path. You give us a few details — registration, mileage, condition, postcode, and what you would like for the car if you have a number in mind. We pull the DVLA and MOT history automatically and cross-reference live trade and retail data. A real person reviews the file. We come back with a clear offer, usually within a few hours, sometimes the same minute if you call during quiet periods.

If you accept, we book a free collection slot — most are within 24 to 48 hours and evenings or weekends are fine. We arrive, do a quick visual check to confirm the car matches the description, settle by instant bank transfer (you see the money on your phone before we drive away), take the V5C and a photo of your driving licence, and notify the DVLA on the spot. The car is gone the same hour.

There is no haggling on the day. The figure we quote is the figure we pay. If something is genuinely different from what you described — say the gearbox is failing and you did not mention it — we have a calm conversation about it. In practice that almost never happens because most sellers are honest about the car they are selling.

When you should not contact us

We do not buy LCVs over 3.5t, motorhomes over 6m long, classic cars over 30 years old, or any vehicle currently subject to a finance company repossession order. If your car has outstanding finance, that is fine — we just settle the finance company directly as part of the deal — but we cannot help if the lender has already started recovery action.

Response times you can expect

  • Phone calls: answered within 3 rings during 8am-8pm Mon-Sat. Outside hours, we ring back at the start of the next business day.
  • Wizard valuations: reviewed and replied to within 2 working hours during the day, by 9am the next morning if submitted overnight.
  • Email enquiries: replied to within 4 working hours during the day. Same-day for anything urgent.
  • Text/WhatsApp: within an hour during business hours, often within minutes.
  • Collection bookings: usually within 24 to 48 hours of accepting an offer. Same-day collection occasionally possible if we are already in your area.

If you have not heard back within these times, something has gone wrong technically — a phone signal issue, an email caught in spam, or a wizard submission that never reached us. Please call 01434 400 444 directly and we will sort it.
