2009 Honda CBF125 - collected in Tyne Valley

Most people know us for cars, but John holds a full motorcycle licence too, so we are just as happy buying and selling bikes. This tidy 2009 Honda CBF125 is a good example. It came to us with two flat tyres and no MOT, and left a week later as a proper learner-ready commuter.

The short version
  • A 2009 Honda CBF125 in red, a low-mileage learner bike, bought from a garage close to us
  • We collected it for free, the same as we would a car
  • It arrived with two flat tyres and no MOT, so it could not be ridden as it was
  • We had two new tyres fitted and put it in for a fresh MOT at a garage in Haydon Bridge
  • It passed with no advisories at all
  • Ridden home, tidied up, and sold within a week

Yes, we buy motorbikes too

Most people find us when they want to sell a car, but cars are not the whole story. John holds a full motorcycle licence, so bikes are something we are comfortable buying, valuing and moving on. If you have a motorbike sitting in the garage, it is well worth asking us about it.

The bike

This one is a 2009 Honda CBF125, finished in red. The CBF125 is one of the great first bikes, light, easy going and famously cheap to run, the sort of thing a lot of riders pass their CBT on and never forget. This was a low-mileage example and, underneath the jobs it needed, a really clean little bike.

What it needed

It came to us with two flat tyres and no MOT, so in practical terms it was a non-runner, you could not just jump on and ride it. That is no problem to us. We collected it for free from a garage close by, the same way we would collect a car that will not start, and brought it back to sort properly.

Getting it road-ready

We had two new tyres fitted and booked it straight in for a fresh MOT at a garage in Haydon Bridge. It passed with no advisories, which tells you how honest the bike really was under those flat tyres. From there it was a quick ride home and a clean up.

Sold within a week

A sorted, MOT'd CBF125 with no advisories is exactly what a new or returning rider is looking for, so it did not hang around. It sold within a week to someone who wanted a dependable, road-ready 125.

Got a motorbike, a car, or something that will not start that you want gone? We buy more than you might think, and collection is free. Tell us what you have and we will take a look.
