2004 Rover 75 Connoisseur SE - collected in Fourstones
A 2004 Rover 75 Connoisseur, a 1.8 petrol automatic in dark green, kept by the same owner for years near Fourstones. It came to us as a scrap enquiry after a failed MOT, but a tidy Connoisseur is worth more than scrap, so we bought it properly and sold it on to a specialist. From first message to collected was under an hour.

The car
A 2004 Rover 75 in Connoisseur trim, the comfortable, well equipped version, a 1.8 petrol automatic in dark green. The same owner had kept it for years and clearly had a soft spot for it, at one point meaning to get it back on the road.
Why it was being sold
It failed its MOT in 2024. The owner held onto it, half intending to have it repaired, but then a newer car arrived, a Jaguar XF, and the Rover ended up parked up. That is how a lot of good cars end up sitting, not unloved, just overtaken by life.
What we found
By the time we got to it, one of the rear wheels was close to letting go, the corrosion had gone that far, and the sills were in poor shape. Even so, it started and drove. We recovered it to our yard to be safe rather than chance it on the road.
A scrap enquiry, not a scrap car
It reached us as a scrap quote, which is how plenty of older cars come in. But a tidy Connoisseur, even as an MOT failure, is worth more than its weight in scrap to the right buyer. So we did not treat it as scrap. We bought it as the car it was and moved it on to a specialist who wanted exactly this.

How quick it was
From the first message to the car being collected was under an hour. That is not every job, but when someone wants a car gone we try to make it that simple. Ali left us a five star review afterwards and mentioned the speed of us coming out to collect.
Have you got an older car, a failed MOT, or something just sitting that you think is only worth scrap? It may be worth more than that to the right buyer. Tell us about it and we will come and look.
“Excellent quick service, highly recommended.”
