2014 Ford Kuga - collected in Hexham

This Ford Kuga had been sat on a drive in Hexham for months with a coolant fault, a flat battery and a damp interior, and the only other offer going was scrap money. We paid a good deal more than that and winched it away the same day.

We were over that way picking up another car when a gentleman came over for a word and asked one of the lads for a business card. He wanted to know if we really would buy a car with something wrong with it. We told him yes, that's a big part of what we do. He pocketed the card and off he went.

About six months on, his grandson messaged us. The Kuga in the photos was his, and it had been going nowhere for a while. It had a loss-of-coolant problem that had never been got to the bottom of, and after months stood on the drive it had a flat battery, brakes seized with rust, and an interior gone damp and mouldy. A real shame, as it had only been bought around a year before for something like £6,250, and now it was just stuck there.
