Corbridge is a riverside village of around 3,500 residents on the north bank of the Tyne. The Roman town of Corstopitum sat on the Stanegate just to the west, and the medieval bridge over the Tyne is one of the oldest still in daily use in England. Tynedale Park is a busy ground. It is the home of Tynedale Rugby Club, who run multiple senior and junior squads through the season, and the same site hosts the Tynedale Beer Festival and the Tynedale Hot Air Balloon Festival each year. Football, rugby, beer, balloons - it is one of those genuinely useful local venues that does a lot of jobs at once. The complex has expanded significantly in the twenty years since I first ran out on it as a youngster: new pitches, crowd stands, clubhouse facilities, mature trees that were saplings when I was twelve. The same place, but properly grown into.

The Courant piece marked the business's third anniversary, and noted that we reinvest over 25% of profits into local community initiatives. The point of the sponsorship is the same as the Hexham Juniors kit we cover: the cost of children's football kits is a real budget line for families, and a small business covering it takes pressure off households we will probably never personally meet.
