Selling your Citroen in Hexham and the Tyne Valley
Citroens come to us with personality and quirks. C1 city cars from new drivers, C3 supermini and C4 Cactus from owner-drivers, Berlingo Multispace from families and tradespeople, occasional C5 Aircross SUV. The Advanced Comfort suspension on the newer cars is a real selling point we mention to buyers.
What we buy on the Citroen range
- Every model and trim - C1, C3, C4, Berlingo, C5 Aircross
- Petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric - all powertrains
- Manual and automatic, low mileage or 200k+
- Failed MOT, warning lights, mechanical faults, non-runners
- Outstanding finance, missing V5, SORN cars - we handle the paperwork
How we value a Citroen
Trim spread is wide: Touch, Feel, Flair, Shine, Shine Plus. C5 Aircross Hybrid PHEV is significantly stronger than petrol or diesel. Berlingo M and XL (length) make a meaningful difference. C3 Aircross Origins limited edition retail strong.
Common Citroen condition issues we see
1.2 PureTech wet-belt same as Peugeot. We ask about service. Older 1.6 HDi DPF on short trips is the usual diesel issue. Hydraulic suspension on older Picasso is an MOT trap if it's leaking. We factor in.
Citroen demand and current market
C3 retail is the easiest Citroen to move. C5 Aircross steady demand. Berlingo Multispace very strong family demand. C4 Cactus older models slower. C1 retails fast at the right price.

How the process works
Enter your registration in the wizard above. We pull DVLA and MOT data automatically, add the mileage and a couple of condition details, and come back with a human-reviewed offer, usually same day. The Citroen market in 2026: comfort focus, Stellantis engines and the PureTech belt
Citroens come to us with personality, from C1 city cars to the C5 Aircross SUV, and the Advanced Comfort suspension on the newer cars is a genuine selling point we pitch to buyers. Mechanically they share the Stellantis running gear, so the 1.2 PureTech turbo carries the same belt-in-oil timing question as the equivalent Peugeot and Vauxhall, and the BlueHDi and older 1.6 HDi diesels bring the usual DPF checklist. Trim runs from Touch and Feel through Flair and Shine, and the spread is wide. We read the variant from the build data and price the actual car, faults and all.
Citroen C3 and C1
The C3 (2016 onwards) is the easiest Citroen to retail, a characterful supermini that moves steadily, and the C1 city car retails fast at the right price. The 1.2 PureTech is the engine we ask the belt question on. Trim, history and condition set the figure, and the C3 Aircross compact SUV follows the same pattern. We price the actual spec rather than the badge.
Citroen C4 and C5 Aircross
The C4 and the older C4 Cactus are owner-driver cars, and the C5 Aircross is the comfort-led family SUV where the Plug-in Hybrid is significantly stronger than the petrol or diesel. On the PHEV we factor battery and charging history; on the diesels the DPF and AdBlue questions apply. Spec carries weight and we account for it properly.
Citroen Berlingo and the MPVs
The Berlingo Multispace has very strong family demand and the M and XL body lengths make a meaningful difference to the figure. These are practical, hard-working cars and we always have a buyer. See our Carlisle Berlingo case study for how we handled a car carrying a list of MOT advisories, pricing the work in rather than walking away.
The older Citroens and DS
The older C5, the Picasso and Grand Picasso MPVs, and the early DS3, DS4 and DS5 before DS became its own marque all come through the door. The hydraulic suspension on the older Picasso is an MOT trap if it is leaking and we factor it. Whatever the model, we value the actual car on its condition and history rather than the badge.
How we work with Citroen sellers in Hexham
Send the registration, the mileage and a couple of photos. We read the engine variant from the build data, price the known issues honestly (1.2 PureTech belt-in-oil, BlueHDi and HDi DPF, older Picasso suspension), and tell you what your Citroen is genuinely worth at trade right now. A failed MOT or a car that will not start is no barrier; we collect on the transporter.
