Selling your Toyota in Hexham and the Tyne Valley
Toyotas come to us with high miles and a long history, that's the demographic. Yaris and Auris hybrids being moved on after 8 or 10 years of trouble-free service. CHR and RAV4 from people moving up the family-size ladder. We rarely see a Toyota with mechanical drama and that shows in the price we offer.
What we buy on the Toyota range
- Every model and trim - Yaris, Corolla, Aygo, CHR, RAV4
- Petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric - all powertrains
- Manual and automatic, low mileage or 200k+
- Failed MOT, warning lights, mechanical faults, non-runners
- Outstanding finance, missing V5, SORN cars - we handle the paperwork
How we value a Toyota
Hybrid vs petrol matters a lot now. A Yaris Hybrid is worth noticeably more than the same-age petrol Yaris because demand is huge. Same on Corolla. Aygo X (the new one) and the older Aygo are valued separately. Higher-trim Excel and Design models are worth chasing, the spec list is much fuller.
Common Toyota condition issues we see
Honestly there isn't much to flag, Toyota build quality is genuinely strong. Hybrid battery health on the older Auris and Prius is the one to know about; we ask about it but rarely find a problem. Suspension bushes and exhaust corrosion are the usual high-mileage wear items.
Toyota demand and current market
Yaris Hybrid and Corolla Hybrid are the easiest cars on our books to move. RAV4 Hybrid SUV is in serious demand and we pay close to trade for them. CHR particularly the Excel hybrid sells fast. Aygo is steady. Older non-hybrid Avensis is slower but still a fair offer.

The Toyota market in 2026: hybrid demand, and why the reliability shows in the figure
Toyotas come to us with high miles and a long history, and that demographic is exactly why they hold money. Once age and mileage are set, the biggest lever is hybrid versus petrol: a self-charging hybrid Yaris or Corolla is worth noticeably more than the same-age petrol because demand is huge, and trim matters too, with Excel and Design carrying a much fuller spec list than Icon. There is honestly little to flag mechanically, which is the whole point of a Toyota, so the main thing we check on the older cars is hybrid battery health. We rarely find a problem, and that genuine reliability shows in the strong figures we can offer.
Toyota Yaris and Yaris Cross
The Yaris (XP130 2011-2020, XP210 2020 onwards) and the newer Yaris Cross are among the easiest cars on our books to move, especially the hybrid. The Hybrid commands a clear premium over the petrol and we pay it. Icon, Design and Excel trims price differently, and the GR Yaris is a specialist enthusiast car valued case-by-case. We price the actual car on its hybrid battery health and history, not just the odometer.
Toyota Corolla and Auris
The Corolla (2018 onwards) and the Auris that preceded it (E150 2006-2012, E180 2012-2018) are strong, steady retail cars, and the Corolla Hybrid is one of the quickest to move. Touring Sports estates suit the roads round here. On the older Auris and Prius hybrids we ask about battery health as a matter of course, but rarely need to deduct for it. Higher-trim cars with the fuller spec are worth chasing.
Toyota C-HR
The C-HR (2016-2023, 2023 onwards) sells fast, particularly the Excel hybrid. Spec and condition do most of the talking, and the styling-led trims hold demand well. As with every Toyota hybrid we factor battery health on the higher-mileage examples, but the cars are generally trouble-free and we price them accordingly.
Toyota RAV4
The RAV4 Hybrid (2018 onwards) is in serious demand as a family SUV and we pay close to trade for them. Four-wheel-drive examples suit the rural roads and add to the figure, and the Excel and Dynamic trims carry the fuller spec. These hold value strongly and a clean one with history gets a strong number.
Toyota Aygo, Prius and Avensis
The Aygo and the newer Aygo X are steady city-car retail and valued separately from each other. The Prius is the original hybrid and we know the battery-health checklist on the older ones inside out. The non-hybrid Avensis is a slower retail car, the diesel especially with its DPF question, but it is genuinely reliable and we still make a fair offer. We price each on its actual condition and history.
How we work with Toyota sellers in Hexham
Send the registration, the mileage and a couple of photos. We price the hybrid system and battery health honestly, account for trim properly, and tell you what your Toyota is genuinely worth at trade right now. High mileage rarely scares us on a Toyota, and no service history or an off-the-road car are things we buy around every week.
