The Renault market in 2026: the Zoe battery question, engines and lease-returns
Renaults reach us with two distinct profiles: low-mileage lease-return Clios and Capturs in excellent condition, or older Meganes and Scenics with high miles from longer ownership. Renault Clio
The Clio (IV 2012-2019, V 2019 onwards) is the easiest Renault to retail, especially the petrol manual, and the lease-return cars come to us in genuinely excellent condition. Trim runs Play, Iconic, S Edition and R.S. Line, and tinted glass, alloy size and infotainment all matter. The TCe petrols need the belt-service question asked. Renault Captur and Kadjar
The Captur compact SUV is in strong demand, particularly the E-Tech hybrid, and the Kadjar is the larger family SUV that shares much with the Nissan Qashqai.
